This is a very cool old 1920s book by Stone & Webster. Stone & Webster was a bigtime engineering company in the early 1900s with projects around the world.

One thing Stone & Webster did very well was document their work with very nice books of photographs. This particular book documents the various electricity production facilities that Stone & Webster built.

Power plants usually didn’t rate a postcard or magazine article, so a book like this, Stone & Webster, Steam Power Stations, can oftentimes contain one of the few period views of such buildings.
